This Privacy Policy describes how Octilo 3D Product Configurator (“the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when merchants install and use the app on their Shopify stores.

1.1 Merchant Information

When you install the app, we may access the following information through Shopify APIs, strictly to provide the app’s functionality:

  • Store name and store URL
  • Store email address
  • Products and product variants
  • Theme and storefront configuration data
  • Files uploaded by the merchant (such as 3D model files)

We do not collect personal information about a merchant’s customers unless required to deliver app features.

1.2 Customer Data

The app may display product configuration options to customers on the storefront. We do not store or process customer personal data, payment details, or checkout information.

All checkout and payment processing is handled entirely by Shopify.

1.3 Uploaded Content

Merchants may upload 3D model files and configuration data to use with products. This data is used only to render 3D previews, AR views, and configuration outputs (such as PDFs).

How We Use Information

We use collected information solely to:

  • Provide 3D product configuration and visualization features
  • Display interactive 3D and AR previews on product pages
  • Generate configuration summaries and downloadable PDFs
  • Support app functionality, onboarding, and troubleshooting

We do not use merchant or customer data for advertising, resale, or marketing purposes.

We do not sell, rent, or share merchant data with third parties.

Data may only be shared:

  • To comply with Shopify’s Partner Program Agreement
  • To maintain app security and functionality

Merchant data is retained only as long as the app is installed or as required for support purposes.

  • When a merchant uninstalls the app, access tokens are revoked.
  • App-related data is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period unless required for legal or compliance reasons.
